On August 6, 2009, Continental Airlines, Inc. ("Continental") issued a press
release announcing its public offering of 14.4 million shares of its Class B
Common Stock. Goldman, Sachs & Co. has agreed to purchase the common stock from
Continental at a price of $11.00 per share which will result in $158.4 million
of net proceeds to Continental (before expenses). Goldman, Sachs & Co. offered
the common stock to the public at a price of $11.20 per share. The press release
